Current Partnerships

Z Puppets partners in collaboration with many different types of organizations, from schools to nonprofits to cities to small and mid-sized businesses. Our belief is that strong projects come to life when two or more partners work together. Take a look at some of our current partnerships below for exciting examples:

Moreland Arts & Health Sciences Magnet School

In 2024, Z Puppets is beginning its 12th year bringing Monkey Mind Pirates to Moreland. Kindergarten and Special Education classes are discovering their own Islands of Calm as they meet the Monkey Mind Pirates characters and learn the songs. Using basic yoga and mindfulness techniques, students learn to regulate their bodies and minds through the playful context of a story.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State ArtsBoard, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Dawson-Boyd Arts Association

Z Puppets will also be bringing the Monkey Mind Pirates to Dawson, Minnesota in September 2024, working with third graders to create their own puppets to perform in the show, while joining the Quest for Calm.
