This free family-friendly celebration will feature:
• A sing-along with Dagsi Turtle & Jisdu Wabbit to help Grandmother Turtle keep alive the Cherokee language with Z Puppets’ performance of music from Say It! Sing It! Play It! In Cherokee.
•. Graci Horne (Dakota/Lakota) and Juan Lucero (Pueblo)’s participatory screenprinting station where people can bring t-shirts, handkerchiefs or use the paper cards on site to print Graci’s design to take home;
•. Julie Boada (Anishinabe) and Jennings Mergenthal’s drop-in puppet making station for youth
• Tours of the ᏩᏙ WADO GARDEN, a rain garden of native plants traditionally important to Dakota and Ojibwe people in consultation with Tanagidan Winyan (Dakota/Ojibwe) with artwork collaborator Graci Horne (Dakota/Lakota).
• Visual art by ᎦᏚᎩ Gadugi Window Gallery featured artists, including Gordon Coons, Oogie_Push, Jearica Fountain, Gidinatiy Hartman.
