KID CITY, a project of Maplewood Parks and Recreation with Z Puppets Rosenschnoz, is now in it's second year
thanks to funding from the MN State Arts Board, Bigelow Foundation, St Paul Foundation and Metropolitan Regional Arts Council!

KID CITY @ Maplewood Parks' & Recreation Bike Rodeo and Kid’s Duathlon at Afton Heights Park
Z Puppets presents Ifrah Mansour in a short performance followed by a fun art-making activity with the KID CITY artists. Recommended for ages 5+.
July 4, 6pm-7:30pm (Full event: 5pm-10pm)
KID CITY @ Maplewood Parks' & Recreation July 4th Celebration at Hazelwood Park
Come join Z Puppets' Bird Puppet Fly! Watch Gustavo and Julie Boada with Shari Aronson and Chris Griffith perform giant bird puppets. Then, join the flock by making your own mini bird with the KID CITY artists. Recommended for ages 4+.

KID CITY @ Maplewood Parks' & Recreation Touch A Truck
Watch Z Puppets' performance of A LA CARTE, a comic battle between a clown French Chef and a wily lobster set to live accordion music. Like a live Looney Tunes cartoon, A LA CARTE is a playfully interactive comedy featuring clowning, puppetry, music and a few unruly vegetables. Then, create your own creature on a stick in our Puppet Lab, with the KID CITY artists. Recommended for ages 4+.

Come join Z Puppets' Bird Puppet Fly! Watch KID CITY artists erform giant bird puppets. Then, join the flock by making your own mini bird with the KID CITY artists. Recommended for ages 4+. FREE!

KID CITY @ Maplewood Parks' & Recreation Laugh In at Edgerton Park
Join Z Puppets' to celebrate laughter. KID CITY artists will kick it off by performing a short Laugh Lab, investigating, "What is funny?" Then, find out for yourself as you can help collect laughter and funny faces for Maplewood's Laughter Museum. Recommended for ages 4+. FREE!

The city of Maplewood hosted a Kids Laugh-in Celebration Party at the Maplewood Community Center on April 1st, 2017 (April Fools Day) in partnership with Kids City and ZPuppets. Check out the hilarious hijinks, family, food and fun everyone enjoyed in the Community Center.
